Professional philosophy

Technology should solve business problems, not become one.

I believe the best solutions emerge from understanding the business first, asking the right questions, challenging assumptions, evaluating alternatives and reducing uncertainty before implementation begins.

Every architecture decision has a business consequence. Every business requirement has technical implications.

My role is to help organizations understand both before making expensive decisions.

Practical answers

Frequently asked questions

01Why should I hire an external Solution Architect or IT Analyst?

An external consultant brings an independent perspective without internal politics or historical biases. I focus on understanding your business, identifying hidden risks, evaluating solution options, and helping your team make informed technical decisions before implementation begins.

Because I regularly work across different industries, I can bring proven approaches and lessons learned while adapting them to your specific environment.

02What makes you different from other Solution Architects?

Many architects start with technology. I start with understanding the business.

Before proposing a solution, I investigate the current environment, identify dependencies, clarify business goals, challenge assumptions, and evaluate alternatives. The objective is to help organizations make better technical decisions with lower implementation risk.

Trust is built through professional honesty. I provide objective recommendations based on facts, business goals, and long-term sustainability, and document the risks of necessary compromises.

03Do you also write software?

Yes. I have many years of hands-on software development experience, primarily in PHP, Laravel and enterprise information systems.

Although my primary role today is Solution Architecture and IT Analysis, continuous practical development experience helps me design solutions that are realistic, implementable and understandable by development teams.

04Can you work with existing development teams?

Yes. One of my strengths is connecting business stakeholders with technical teams.

I facilitate discussions, clarify requirements, document decisions and help development teams move forward with confidence.

05Do you only work with enterprise companies?

No. Most of my experience comes from enterprise environments, but the same analytical approach benefits medium-sized businesses as well.

Whether a company has twenty employees or twenty thousand, understanding the problem before investing in software remains equally important.

06Can you join an existing project?

Yes. This is one of the situations where I often provide the greatest value.

I quickly analyse the existing solution, understand the business context, identify risks and help teams regain clarity.

07Do you also provide implementation support?

Yes. My work does not necessarily end with architecture.

I can continue supporting workshops, development teams, solution validation, documentation, stakeholder communication and implementation activities.

08How quickly can you understand a new business domain?

One of my strengths is the ability to rapidly understand unfamiliar industries and complex IT landscapes.

During my career I have worked in banking, retail, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, logistics, media, energy, e-commerce and security. The domain changes, but structured analysis remains the same.

09Why have you worked on so many different projects?

Most of my career has been as an independent consultant, helping organizations solve specific business and technical challenges. Many engagements had a clearly defined objective and concluded when it was achieved.

Working across many organizations has given me broad experience in industries, technologies, architectures and company cultures. My commitment is always to leave every project in a better state than I found it.

10Why do companies hire you repeatedly for architecture and analysis projects?

Because my role is not limited to producing documentation. I help organizations reduce uncertainty.

That means understanding the business, analysing existing systems, evaluating solution options, documenting decisions and supporting implementation.

11Do you sell technologies?

No. I do not represent software vendors, implementation partners or specific technology stacks.

My recommendations are based on what best fits the business problem, technical context and long-term maintainability.

12What is your ultimate goal on every project?

To leave the organization with greater clarity than when I joined.

Whether that means a better architecture, clearer documentation, improved understanding of existing systems or more confident technical decisions, my goal is to reduce uncertainty and help people move forward.

13What is the biggest difference between projects?

The people.

Business domains, technologies and architectures vary, but the quality of collaboration has the greatest impact on success. I achieve the best results where people communicate openly, make evidence-based decisions and share the goal of building reliable, maintainable solutions.

Start with the right questions

Let’s discuss your challenge.

Every successful solution starts with understanding the problem.

Whether you are planning a new project, modernizing existing systems, integrating applications, or looking for an independent technical opinion, I would be happy to discuss your situation.

Our first conversation is not about selling services. It is about understanding your business, identifying the real challenge, and determining whether I am the right person to help.

The best software solutions are rarely created by chance. They are the result of asking the right questions before writing the first line of code.

Let’s start with the questions.
